Pou des Lleó, near the town of San Carlos, it is from those coves where you can still breathe the peace and tranquility that had to reign in all of Ibiza long ago. Urbanized only y Surrounded by small houses or fishermen's huts on both sides, it is an exceptional place for all those who seek tranquility and relaxation even in the middle of August.
It has a multitude of beautiful corners between the rocks, emerged platforms and small islets. This makes Pou des Lleó an ideal place to sunbathe alone, practice the Scuba diving or snorkeling and make beautiful rides by its surroundings.
It is much better known for the local people that for the tourists. Maybe it's because of his fine sand mixed with stones, that does not make it the most comfortable place to put the towel.
From the beach you will see the Salvadó restaurant. Surely you've heard about it on occasion and it's that it serves all kinds of fresh fish, paellas and Ibizan dishes at moderate prices. Very close to the cove, half hidden among pine trees, is the Pou des Lleó restaurant, where you can try the famous bullit de peix from Ibiza. Furthermore, in the middle of the cove you will also find its famous Pou des Lleó beach bar.
There are still more reasons why this sandy area (whose translation means 'Lion's Well') is worth a visit. Another one is that it has spectacular views of the well-known Island Tagomago and the Torre d'en Valls, one of the watchtowers that were built in Ibiza hundreds of years ago against the attacks of the pirates. From it they had a view of the whole environment a few meters from the beach.
