The little dog has come to Can Misses this afternoon for a trainer to evaluate his behavior in the center
Leon, the Yorkshire that is participating in the 'Dogspital' program at the Can Misses hospital for pets to meet with their owners, has come to the center today for a first contact with the environment.
After passing yesterday the veterinary tests that all must overcome before the visit, today I had to go up to Can Misses with Toni Torres, the trainer who will accompany him throughout these appointments.
Upon reaching the entrance, journalists and photographers appeared in front of the dog, which, despite being reluctant to take photos, stoically endured the session. Yes, there has been some shaking than another, but its owners affirm that it is something common in it. “It is quite scary, but very calm at the same time,” commented the family. Torres has confirmed it right away and León, after rejecting the occasional trinket that apparently was not to his liking, has even allowed him to put the handkerchief that includes it from today on the 'Dogspital' program.
Torres explained that the adaptation has gone much better than he expected. "He is a very calm and very docile dog, we will not have problems with him," he said.
Leon has entered by his own foot in the hospital and, before acceding to the room enabled especially for the meetings, has passed two small tests. Toni has walked a wheelchair around him to check that he did not react badly to the situation and has subsequently hit the back of the chair causing a loud noise that has surprised the staff more than the small Yorkshire.
Once inside the room, Leon has been lying on the floor and has posed before the cameras as if he were accustomed to it. After demonstrating an exemplary behavior, he has received the approval of the trainer, thus exceeding the control that all dogs must undergo before being eligible for the program.
In the booklet that was given to Leon after joining the project are the requirements that must be met to approve the visits and signatures that should authorize it. The dog had already the one of the doctor of Jose and the one of the veterinarian, only it lacked the one of Toni, that has enchanted the request after having spent some time with him.
"The simple fact of knowing that he will be able to see his dog again has made my husband smile again," says his wife, a joy that both will share next Monday, the date for which the long-awaited reunion has been set.
