As you already know, the second weekend of May we go on a trip back in time with the Medieval Ibiza Fair. A spring classic on the island that transforms and brightens the neighborhoods of Dalt Vila and La Marina.
The Ibiza Medieval Fair is celebrated this year Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 of May of 2019. This year also celebrates the proclamation of Ibiza as World Heritage, so there will be a commemorative exhibition of the posters and images of these 20 years in the Chapter Hall of the City Council.
For four days, thousands of residents and tourists enjoy a complete program of activities that includes exhibitions, concerts, theater, street shows, activities for children, medieval dance, 19 workshops, medieval tournaments, medieval horror passage and much more. They participate this year 14 animation groups.
Of course, the craft market with gastronomic products and crafts from the island and from abroad, with traditional craft workshops where you can see the artisans working and there will be more than 4.000 decorating elements the historic center.
One of the novelties of this year is that there children's activities from early Thursday in the morning for the students of the municipality. Other novelties are a heraldic exhibition of Ibicenco surnames medievales documented and a Gregorian chant concert.
The Fair opens with a show with the theater company Morboria, with several MAX awards under his belt, at the 19 hours in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Again, all the cultural or museum spaces of Dalt Vila will be open these days so you can take the opportunity to visit them.
As each year they are launched three free bus lines from the dissuasive car parks of es Gorg, GESA and Can Misses to the Paseo de Vara de Rey and Es Soto.
