The auditorium of Caló de s'Oli in Cala de Bou hosts the XIII Congress of the Spanish Society of Cetaceans, a three-day conference organized by the Tursiops association and the San José city hall that will bring together the main experts from all over the country and the entities dedicated to the study of marine mammals and turtles.
The meeting will provide the latest data on the status of whale and dolphin populations, will discuss the conservation threats that they face and will be created synergies between groups.
The congress opens on Friday 28 2022 October at 9.30 hours. The scientific presentations are held on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 October 2022 for the whole day.
In addition, several activities open to everyone and with free and open access have been scheduled.
El Thursday 27 October 2022 they will go through the auditorium in the morning middle and high school students of the whole island.
The same Thursday, from 17 to 19:30 p.m. there will be a sea turtle seminar open to the public which will include the release in the waters of the Portmany Bay of a loggerhead sea turtle specimen treated at the recovery center.
Furthermore, the Friday 28 2022 October at 20 hours el Spanish Theater of Santa Eulalia welcomes a session special with the screening of short films about dolphins and whales.
