New appointment «Feim Barri», the interesting program of citizen empowerment of the Ibiza Town Hall, which on this occasion will be dedicated to the Ibizan traditions. The appointment is Saturday 1 of February of 2020 in the country house of Can Tomeu, in the neighborhood of Ca n'Escandell of Ibiza city.
Throughout the day, from 11 up to 17 hours, there will be a lot of fun free activities for all ages.
On Saturday you can enjoy exhibitions, workshops of craftsmanship of sobrasada and botifarró, de Ibizan bread and muffins and Orelletes and fritters. There will also be a workshop Payés dance, castanets and flute and another «Corn stew» and a demonstration of lligall carpet (the hatillo handkerchief).
There will also be a chat to 11 hours in which Antoni Marí Marí will talk about Ibizan musical instruments. A las 12 hours Nieves Molina will do a session of Traditional storyteller
The music starts at 13 hours with performance of Joan «Murenu» and Antonio Fernández. A las 14: 15 hours there will be a sound and ballad with sa Colla de Sa Winery. A las 14: 30 hours there will be a popular meal with Killer ricetasting of pickled gerret y solidarity raffle in aid of Red Cross.
For the little ones there will be a children's area of Punic crafts, an traditional architecture children's workshop and a Gimkana payesa with traditional games and workshops.
If you approach you can also find various samples of traditional crafts, carts payeses, Ibizan herbs, some native races brought by the Pitiusa Federation of Native Races, sample of cans eivissencs of apiculture and coconut salt.
