El First Bee Festival in Ibiza, organized by the San José City Council, is an event created to raise awareness of the importance of these insects in the environment, both for their pollinating function and because they are a fundamental indicator of the environmental quality of our surroundings.
The appointment coincides with the period of maximum flowering on the island and is celebrated in Sant Jordi el 21 May 2022 Saturday from the 11 hours until sunset and will have various proposals for the whole family.
There will be one exhibition on traditional Ibizan beekeeping, in which the recovery project of the Ibizan bee of the Rafal Trobat Neighborhood Association, and you can also adopt a bee in exchange for a donation of 5 euros, to help them in their recovery. By becoming a sponsor, they will give you a certificate, a small jar of honey, a key chain and a badge.
For the little ones there will be candle making workshops with beeswax and can also paint bee houses which will then be spread across the field.
The day will feature Akrobati-k animations throughout the day and at noon there will be a children's storytelling
also organizes a great popular charity paella to eat tickets cost 15 euros and the proceeds will go to support NGOs Deixalles Foundation, Aspanadif and Rafal Trobat Neighborhood Association.
In addition, at 15 hours there will be a concert Groovy Brothers or 17 hours a performance of Scoundrels of Guateke.
