The play “La hermosa Jarifa”, by Borja Rodríguez, can be seen on Saturday, September 26 at 21pm at the Ibiza Conference Center.
"The beautiful Jarifa" it's a theatrical montage that brings us a love story, honor and brotherhood between peoples at the time of wars between Christians and Muslims in Spain, a work that you can see the Saturday 26 from September to 21 hours in the Palace of Congresses of Ibiza in Santa Eulalia from the theater company Graciela Huesca and entered the program Stalls, which brings interesting works from the rest of the Peninsula to Ibiza.
"The beautiful Jarifa" tells the story of Abindarráez, one of the survivors of the Abencerrajes family, who have to flee from the Kingdom of Granada. On his way he falls prisoner of the Christian Narvaez, who tells his love story since childhood with the beautiful Jarifa, a story that moves Narváez to such an extent that he grants him three days for Abindarráez to achieve his purpose of marrying her, to later return to be her prisoner.
The work is written and directed by Borja Rodríguez and has actors like Daniel Holguín, Sara Rivero, Fernando Huesca, Antonio Gil, Carles Cuevas, Inés León Cristina Arias and Francis Guerrero. Tickets cost $20 And can be purchased at Holidays (Santa Eulalia) o Holy-Sport (Ibiza).
The assembly, of 90 minutes, is based on the book of the sixteenth century "History of Abencerraje and the Beautiful Jarifa", by Antònio Villegas and also includes elements of anonymous romances and popular songs. An history about love and adventures, a plea in defense of honor, love and justice and against differences based on race, religion or nationality.
