I studied Tur Costa, a gallery located in the town of Jesús, starts its summer program with the exhibition “be and time“, dedicated to the artist Rafael Forteza, considered one of the most revealing and significant creators of contemporary Spanish art.
Painter, sculptor and engraver, Rafael Forteza (1955, Mallorca) has starred in individual exhibitions in galleries and museums such as Pelaires, the Joan Miró Foundation, the Russian State Museum in Saint Petersburg, Kunst Station Sankt Peter in Cologne or the Es Baluard Museum of Contemporary Art in Mallorca.
His work is part of collections such as the MoMA in New York, the Reina Sofía National Art Center in Madrid, the Pompidou Center in Paris, the DeutscheBank Collection, the La Caixa Collection, or the Münchner Kunstlerhaus Stiftung in Munich. In addition, he has also published artist books together with numerous poets and other artists such as Joan Brossa, José Carlos Llop or Antonio Saura.

I studied Tur Costa it was the artist's workspace Rafael Tur Costa (Ibiza, 1927-2020) for much of his life and is integrated into the beautiful building designed by the great architect Erwin Broner for the family Tur Witt and in 2021, after a minimal intervention reform to preserve its essence, it became a pleasant exhibition and events space.
