Sa Nostra Room, the culture room of the Consell de Ibiza, presents its new exhibition, entitled 'Eivissa, Recovered Images', made up of a selection of black and white photographs of Ibiza taken by Alain Keralen.
The images are taken when the author, a former French diplomat and amateur photographer, was 16 years old, in 1966, and offer a perfect reflection of the everyday life on the island in those years, inspired by that photographic trend of “poetic realism” embodied by great figures such as Robert Doisneau or Henri Cartier-Bresson.
These are images that have been transferred to the Image and Sound Archive of Ibiza that constitute a important testimony of the 60s in Ibiza, a time of profound changes on the island with the arrival of the tourist boom, the hippies and the artistic movements of Europe.
The exhibition opens on 7 July 2022 Thursday at 20 hours and will remain open until July 27In hours Monday to Friday and from 10:13 a.m. to 30:17 p.m. and from 30:20 p.m. to 30:XNUMX p.m.
