the culture center Can Jeroni in San José hosts a posthumous tribute exhibition a Lautaro Valenzuela "Tito" in memory of this ceramist born in Chile but deeply rooted in the municipality of San José, where he lived for decades until his death at the end of 2020, at the age of 81, in a traffic accident.
The exhibition is a retrospective of his work and in it you can see a series of pieces made in pottery stoneware, some already presented in its last exhibition, at the end of 2019, “returns time“, in which he was inspired by natural elements such as mountains, volcanoes or landscapes of your Chile native.
Lautaro Valenzuela trained at the School of Applied Arts of the University of Chile, and it was in this country where he developed his artistic career, before moving to Barcelona and finally to Ibiza. On the island he devoted himself mainly to ceramics and garden design and participated in various exhibitions.
The exhibition opens on Friday 29 2022 July at 20: 30 hours in an event that will feature relatives from Chile and friends of the artist.
You can visit it until August 21st, 2022. The room is open from Tuesday through Sunday de 10: 30 13 to: 30 hours and also Thursday, Friday and Saturday de 18: 30 21 hours to. It is closed on Mondays.
