Josep Rosales painting exhibition in Sa Nostra Sala
Sa Nostra Sala Ibiza hosts an exhibition by Josep Rosales, Vuit d'Agost Prize for 2018 Painting, which you can visit from the 1 of August to the 13 of September 2019
El Consell de Ibiza organizes a new and interesting painting exhibition in the central Sa Nostra Room, dedicated this time to the artist Josep Rosales, Vuit d'Agost 2018 Painting Award.
The sample, titled «Per als that ja no hi són» ("For those who are no longer") is a careful selection of works made by the artist from 2017 to 2019. Works that belong to various series in which the artist has worked these last two years, such as Kaplan, Oxidació, Per als que ja no hi són, Variacions, Clandestins, or Grattage.
Josep Rosales (Ibiza, 1971) claims to conceive his work "as a dialogue between life and death«. At the beginning of his career he used bright colors in abundance, but he has opted for a darker range, with a predominance of blacks, reds and oxides. In his works, made through mixed media, they combine different materials, shapes and textures, to create relief effects.
The exhibition opens on Thursday August 1 2019 to 20 hours. You can visit her from Monday through Friday from 11 to 14 hours and from 18 to 20: 30 hours until the next 13 Friday of September of 2019.
