Atzaró Ibiza presents the exhibition "Homage to Humanity" by internationally acclaimed photographer Jimmy Nelson, from July 17 to August 6, 2018
Agrotourism Atzaró Ibiza in San Lorenzo welcomes “Homage to Humanity” ("Tribute to Humanity"), an exhibition by internationally acclaimed photographer Jimmy Nelson.
The sample brings together some of the best works of this renowned artist and that are part of his new book “Homage to Humanity”, to be published in autumn 2018. An extraordinary journey where Nelson and his team invite us to immerse ourselves in a series of first-person experiences throughout the world. Along with the beautiful photographs of Nelson, the book will contain personal interviews with the people portrayed, travel stories, infographics ... A book that, in addition to promising endless odysseys and adventures, is an entire ethnographic investigation on the values of the human being and the importance of ancestral peoples.
Jimmy Nelson rose to fame with his acclaimed exploration through Tibet almost 30 years ago, and since then he has traveled to the most remote places in the world to photograph indigenous peoples. In 2013 he published the book "Before They Pass Away" with which he managed to fulfill his dream of raising awareness about the immense diversity existing in the world. In addition, Nelson is the creator of Jimmy Nelson Foundation to help the survival of these peoples.
The opening of the exhibition is the Tuesday 17 of July of 2018 From the 19: 30 hours until midnight and will have a presentation in charge of the own Jimmy Nelson, live music and a welcome drink. If you can not attend the vernissage, you can also go to contemplate the exhibition until the next 6th August 2018.
