The third edition of the IbizaCineFest International Independent Film Festival is celebrated from the 27 from January to the 3 of February 2019, do not miss anything!
IbizaCineFest has managed to awaken a great national and international expectation in its third edition, which is celebrated from Sunday 27 from January to Sunday 3 from February of 2019.
In the edition of this 2019 there is more than 1.000 enrolled and participate 11 national and international distributors and a new new animation short film section.
The festival was created on the initiative of the Barcelona-born filmmaker based in Ibiza Xavi Herrero, Utopikfilms, and director of films like the documentary "Aixa. It is darrer Mestre d'Eivissa " or the long ones "REM" y "Moonface: a woman in war", that the festival's programming will be opened on 27 January 2019 Sunday.
The festival, which began as short films, expanded its programming last year to documentaries and fiction feature films becoming an official festival of 8 days recognized by the ICAA that received more than 800 viewers.
IbizaCineFest is once again held in different locations throughout the island: the auditorium of the cultural center of Can Ventosa in Ibiza city, the cultural center of Can Jeroni in San José, the Theater Spain in Santa Eulalia and the public school Cervantes Of San Antonio.
Film lovers of the island can enjoy 8 days of high quality programming. Among other things, shorts will be screened "Matria", 2018 Sundance Grand Jury Prize, "Calamity" (Belgium), "Diva & Astro" (USA), the Balearic ribbon "Hostal Orion", by Jaume Carrió, or "Aamir", awarded with a Bafta.
In terms of feature films, highlighting in addition to "Moonface: a woman in war" from festival director Xavi Herrero about war reporter Christine Spengler, and "The crime of All Saints", by the Ibizan filmmaker Héctor Escandell as special screenings of cinema "made in Ibiza", there will be fiction films such as "The best of all worlds", premiered at the Berlinale last, "Goliath", premiered in Locarno, or "You are in my head", and long documentaries like "Family life", also premiered at the last Berlinale or the Argentine film "Silence is a body that falls".
As in past editions, in addition to projections there will be other activities such as debates, round tables or conferences.
