The iconic Swedish photographer Matt Baker stars in an unmissable exhibition in Dorado Ibiza, a stylish 'Adults Only' hotel that pays tribute to rock music.
Mats Baker, born Mats Bäcker (Hagfors, 1958), is an artist who has defined the rock scene of the 60s and 70s, being the creator of unforgettable black and white portraits of great musical idols of all time like Mick Jagger, Grace Jones, Bono, Marianne Faithfull, David Bowie, Joe Strummer, Iggy Pop And a long etcetera.
In the late '70s and early '80s, when the punk wave was sweeping across Europe, the Scandinavians were the first to jump on it, setting up an effervescent scene where bands traveled before becoming established in the rest of the world. Baker portrayed that unique era and became the Scandinavia's foremost photographer, being the first to photograph the band The Jam on their first foray playing outside of Britain.
His photos, often influenced by the photography of reportage, ooze strength, personality and sensuality, perfectly reflecting the charismatic world of rock.
