"Mòlt de Temps", exhibition by Toni Planells in Sala Sa Nostra Ibiza
Sala Sa Nostra Ibiza presents the exhibition "Mòlt de Temps" with Toni Planells' solargraphs that you can visit from 19 from July to 31 from August 2018
La Sa Nostra Room in Ibiza city presents "Mòlt de Temps", a new exhibition organized by the Consell de Ibiza which includes the solargraphs of the ibicenco artist Toni PlanellsWinner of Vuit d'Agost Photography Award.
An interesting selection of photographs taken from the solargraphy technique that reflect the expertise of Planells when placing your camera for long periods of time, in some cases up to 6 months, and creating some particular images in which the sun and its path from solstice to solstice are the protagonists. With this technique the artist manages to capture in a single image the apparent movement of the sun over the sky for long periods of time, and that, day by day, the sun draws a line from east to west that varies its height as the seasons follow each other.
Another very interesting detail is that Toni Planells uses for these photographs pinhole cameras, which are based on the principle of the camera obscura and are made in a completely handmade way, making them from drink cans and with a photosensitive paper as a support for the image.
The exhibition also includes two parallel activities, to which you can sign up by calling the telephone +34 971 30 49 80 (places are limited):
