El promenade of the Port of San Miquel welcomes throughout the summer a outdoor exhibition of underwater photographs of large format made in multiple dives to the seabed in this area of San Juan and curated by Lina Sansano .
It is a collection of 28 images that show the seabed and the marine life it houses, made by a group of Ibizan photographers, specialized in taking underwater images.
The photographers, led by the experienced Joan Costa, who have participated in the exhibition are: Abel Martínez, Xavier Mas, Joan Pereyra, Vicent Planells and Simón Vila.
The underlying intention for organizing this beautiful exhibition is to show the people of Ibiza and the vacationers the impressive images of a natural port that houses a multitude of plant and animal species of great showiness and spectacularity, species that cannot be seen on land.
Thus, an important call is also made to the need to preserve and safeguard the marine environment and the entire natural environment of our beautiful islands, making their environmental richness.
The photographs have been taken over the last five years in dives carried out both in summer and winter.
The show opens this Friday 1 2022 July in the 20 hours. You can contemplate these beautiful images of the seabed of the Port of San Miquel until the 30 of September of 2022.
