Sa Nostra Sala in Ibiza presents a retrospective exhibition dedicated to Tur Costa that you can visit from 30 from May to 19 from July 2019
El Consell de Ibiza organizes a new and interesting exhibition in Sa Nostra Room, this time a Retrospective dedicated to the artist Tur Costa
The painter and engraver from Ibiza Rafael Tur Costa (Santa Eulalia, 1927) studied at the School of Arts and Crafts of Ibiza, although his training is mainly self-taught. From the 50 years he had a lot of contact with the European artistic avant-gardes and, especially, with the Ibiza 59 Group.
His first abstract works in the 60 were dominated by black, quickly banished by white and other more vivid colors. One of the characteristics of his work in the 60-70 is the use of strokes of pure colors and silver, as well as the use of varied textures and collages, as well as the use of geometric shapes, something that will embrace even more in the 80.
The exhibition opens on 30 May 2019 Thursday at 20 hours. You can visit her from Monday through Friday from 11 to 14 hours and from 17 to 20: 30 hours until the next Friday 19 2019 July.
