"La Faz del Mundo" is a painting exhibition by Juan Hernández that you can visit at Bar Anita from June 7 to 30, 2019
The Zamorano artist Juan Hernández he is the protagonist of the exhibition “The Face of the World”, that you can visit in the mythical restaurant and bar Anita or Ca n'Anneta of San Carlos.
It is an exhibition of painting in which all the paintings have as support untreated wood, which with its veins recreates the skin of the characters. The use of this support together with a precise drawing and the search for formal beauty contribute to that Hernández style.
The title of the exhibition refers to a homonymous poem by Fermin Herrero dedicated to the work of the painter. The characters reflect people of different ethnicities, with mixed races, mixed ambiguity and ambiguity man woman. Traits that define well this cosmopolitan world in which we live and where the mixture of races and cultures it enriches us as human beings. The artist, influenced by image, film and television, makes abundant use of close-ups and medium shots.
The sample can be visited from 7 to 30 June 2019.
