'Greek ceramics: images for everyday life' is the last course organized by the Association of Friends of the Archaeological Museum of Ibiza and Formentera in collaboration with the same museum and the Government's Department of Culture.
The workshop is held from November 22 to 25, 2021, both included, at 19:XNUMX p.m. in the conference room of the Museu Monogràfic de Puig des Molins (Via Romana 31, Ibiza).
Ana Mezquida Orti, technique of archives, library and museums of the Archaeological Museum of Ibiza and Formentera, and Helena Jimenez Barrero, specialist technician in conservation and restoration work of the Ibizan museum are the course organizers.
Its purpose is make Attic ceramics known through images captured by Hellenic artisans. Through their analysis, the participants will discover how this society lived, its domestic life, leisure, preparation for war ...
Death and funeral rituals will also be addressed during these days in which ceramic pieces from the Archaeological Fund of Ibiza and Formentera will be analyzed.
Finally, the opportunity is offered to carry out a little practice to learn how these pieces of Attic pottery were decorated.
