Valeria Gaia stars in the new exhibition that you can visit in Sa Nostra Room, the culture room of the Consell de Ibiza, entitled “White Churches” (“White Churches”).
It is a collection of 50 precious photographs by this Ibiza-based artist, who capture the beauty of the island's churches in all their splendour.
Valeria Gaia was born in Treviso (Italy) and has been linked to Ibiza since 2002, the year she fell in love with an island where, she says, she has found a life of “Mediterranean serenity”. Since 2017 with the book "The Cities of Silence", the photographer began to get involved in the memory of human cultural heritage and has photographed 17 churches in Ibiza at night and using black and white to "enhance the white of its architecture, a construction that defines Ibiza, its culture and its heritage”.
The exhibition opens on Wednesday May 11 2022 at 20 hours and will be open from Monday to Friday until June 3 2022.
Visiting hours are 10 to 13: 30 hours and 17: 30 20 to: 30 hours.
