Giuseppe Concas, Sardinian artist based in Ibiza since 1998 after living in different parts of the world, stars in the exhibition "Traditions and customs", which can be visited at the Jesus Cultural Centers.
The exhibition, one of the artist's most ambitious to date, includes twenty-five pieces, medium and large format, divided into five blocks with five photographs in each of them, showing the Ibizan traditions and customsyes Each of the photographs in this exhibition has been taken spontaneously at different cultural events held in Ibiza.
And it is that Concas has been passionate about Ibizan culture and tradition from the moment he arrived on the island, and has been in close contact with the peasants, photographing their traditions, especially the Dance party.
As a result of the artist's appreciation for the Ibizan collas, the author will donate 5% of sales of this exposure Federation of ball groups and popular culture of Ibiza. Concas himself has stated: "I think that the collas should receive more aid and that Ibizan traditions and customs should be promoted more. In the end, what makes Ibiza special is its essence of a town, its authenticity, and not the madness of the party that we have a few months of the year that, in addition, does not bring positivity to Ibiza".
The exhibition opens on November 4 Friday of 2022 at 19 hours.
You can visit it until 25 2022 November.
