Can Jeroni presents the exhibition “Trencar el concepte” with works by Josefina Torres, you can visit it from November 9 to 25, 2018
The Ibiza artist Josefina Torres is the protagonist of "Trencar el concepte", the new exhibition that inaugurates the cultural hall of Can Jeroni located in the town of San José.
Ibizan painter and poet Josefina Torres presents in this new exhibition 20 paintings in different formats on cardboard and fabric, accompanied by 20 poems. All the works that are shown are unpublished, they have been made expressly for this exhibition.
The central theme is the Japanese art of kintsugi, with which broken ceramic is joined with gold or silver. The idea underlying this Japanese art is that the objects rotos can become something with more value and beauty than before they were broken. In the same way, the poems that accompany the paintings resemble the haikus Japanese (very short lyric poems).
The exhibition opens on November 9 Friday of 2018 from the 19: 30 hours.
You can go visit it until November 25th 2018 in time Tuesday through Sunday from 10: 30 to 13: 30 hours and Thursday to Saturday from 18 to 21 hours.
