Ushuaïa Ibiza presents on the island a beautiful artistic exhibition where you can admire the impressive wood carvings made by the Jacobo and María Ángeles Workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico. It is the collection that inspired the film Disney Pixar's “Coco”, Oscar for Best Animated Film in 2018.
Is 17 unique pieces that show the Zapotec culture through the representation of animals and mystical beings in copal wood with mineral pigments and acrylics, decorated with pre-Hispanic details, known as alebrijes.
An incredible sample of the beauty of this traditional Mexican craft that arrives here thanks to the El Agave Foundation and About Us, which brings together artisans and artists from Oaxaca.
You can visit this interesting exhibition, whose pieces are all for sale to the public, every day from end of May to the beginning of September of 2018 in Ushuaïa Tower.
