The Cine Regio of San Antonio hosts the second edition of the Zinètic original film series every Thursday at the 21h
Cinephiles! This fall there are a lot of interesting plans and projections for you in Ibiza. The Royal Cinema and Video Torres, in collaboration with the City of San Antonio, they are once again promoting their initiative for the second year Zinètic, a cycle of alternative cinema and in original version with subtitles that will allow you to enjoy high quality tapes that we do not normally have access to on the island.
The cycle takes place Thursday at 21:30 hours in the Cinema Regio of San Antonio from Thursday 9 of November of 2017 until Thursday of 22 of March of 2018, with some titles still to be confirmed. Entry costs $5.

-Thursday, November 9, 2017: "The Wild Region" (2016)by Amat Escalante (México). Best Director Award at the 2016 Venice Film Festival. Disturbing and surprising crossroads of genres in an eerie cabin in the woods. Drama, horror, fantastic.
-Thursday, November 23, 2017: “I Am Not Your Negro” (2016), by Raoul Peck (USA). Captivating and intelligent documentary that portrays the struggle for civil rights in the African-American community. Adaptation of James Baldwin's novel "Remember This House." Nominated for the Oscar 2016 for Best Documentary.
-Thursday December 14, 2017: "The Love Witch" (2016), by Anna Biller (USA). Satire on the power of female sexuality that mixes comedy, horror, romantic, fantasy and drama. Second job by a director qualified as a "Tarantino" with feminine sensitivity.
-Thursday January 18, 2017: "The Square" (2017), by Ruben Östlund (Sweden). Brilliant satirical drama about the art world. It won the Palme d'Or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, despite its controversial presentation due to its provocative and excessive nature.
-Thursday February 1, 2017: "The Killing of a Sacred Deer" (2017), by Yorgos Lanthimos (United Kingdom). Psychological thriller from the acclaimed director of the bizarre "The Lobster" and "Canino." Starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Farrell, this movie will push you to the limit. Award for Best Screenplay at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival and Critics Award at the 2017 Sitges Film Festival.
-Thursday February 15, 2017: "A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night" (2014), by Ana Lily Amirpour (Iran). Curious debut film that combines a kind of vampire western with touches from the Lynch universe, comics and pop culture from the 80s.
-Thursday 8 March 2017: "Zama" (2017), by Lucrecia Martel (Argentina). Movie in VO in Spanish. Portrait of the literary journey of a XNUMXth century Spanish officer through the jungle in search of a bandit, based on the novel by Antonio Di Benedetto.
-Xue 22 of March 2017: Closing Session. Film yet to be confirmed.
