The Headquarters of the UIB in Ibiza offers you free screenings of great films with its Cineforam Cycle, until the end of March. 2019
El Cultural Activities Service of the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) has launched a University Cinefórum Cycle which aims to create a space for reflection in which to make known to the public both classic films and European titles, independent production or films somewhat removed from the more conventional commercial circuits.
Thus, the Headquarters of the UIB in Ibiza, in old building of Military Command, will be the place chosen for the screening of great films like “Casablanca”, “The Third Man”, “Nightcrawler”, “The Wings of Life”, “Patron Patron”, “Summer, 1933”, “Disappear” or “Many Sons, a Monkey and a Castle”.
The selection of the 8 films of the cycle obeys an intention to offer a varied program and related to the studies that are studied in the UIB. They have also been selected films accessible to a diverse audience and with different readings, so that the spectators reflect on the problems of the world.
The projections take place every so often, but always the 18: 30 hours.
In each session there will be a brief presentation of the film and a hand program to the attendees. After the screening there will be a open debate led by the organizers of the cycle, José Francisco Ruiz and Amable Palacios.
