The restaurant Montauk Steakhouse Ibiza, located in Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, has delivered a check for the value of $6.150 to Elena Torres Association for Research for the Early Detection of Cancer.
The amount represents the 100% of the amount collected in the solidarity dinner held last June 7 at the restaurant and attended by 95 people. The dinner was organized under the protection of the Abel Matutes Foundation, which focuses its work on helping social, children's, cultural and sports causes in Ibiza and Formentera.
They were present at the delivery Carmen Matutes, president of the Executive Committee of the Abel Matutes Foundation; Loly Figueroa, director of Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel; Mari carmen gutierrez, president of the Elena Torres Association for Research for the Early Detection of Cancer; and Vicky Ferrazzano, one of the volunteers of this Ibizan NGO.
It should be remembered that the Elena Torres Association, declared of General Interest by the Balearic Government, champions a CSIC research project led by the researcher Priscilla Monteiro Kosaka, with a technology created by itself, to detect cancer in early stages through nanosensors and biotechnology.
