"Talaies i talaiots de les Illes Balears": a song for human rights

The Consell de Ibiza joins the initiative "Talaies and Talaiots of the Balearic Islands", an initiative that is celebrated simultaneously in all the Balearic Islands on Saturday 12 of January of 2019.
It is an initiative that was launched in Mallorca two years ago and that claims the heritage protection of the islands and the Defense of human rights. Thus, the lighting of the defense towers in this third edition of the initiative denounce violence against refugee women.
In Ibiza, Tower of Sal Rossa It is the chosen one for this symbolic ignition that evokes the historical use of these towers.
The act is public and is celebrated from the 13 hours, With the read a manifesto agreed by the institutions and entities that collaborate and that will be done simultaneously in all the islands.
The reading will be accompanied by the emblematic song of Lluís Llach "Trip in Itaca", interpreted by the singer-songwriter Joan Marí "Morenu".
In total there will be 48 lighting points in Mallorca, between 15 and 20 talaiots in Menorca, 1 in Ibiza, 1 in Formentera (in a mill near Sant Francesc) and 2 in North Africa.
