The summery cultural cycle Nits de Tanit brings you this summer 2018 five great concerts of world music under the stars
If you like the music of the world, you are in luck! One more season, the Consell de Ibiza it brings you great concerts of world music to enjoy this summer outdoors with the Festival Nits de Tanit 2018. In this year's edition, the fifth to be held, there are scheduled five concerts of groups of places like Syria, Poland, Spain, Algeria and Ireland.
The proceedings begin on Saturday 21 2018 July with a concert by the Algerian singer Souad Massi, who will present her sixth album “El Mutakallinûm” accompanied by the percussionist Rabah Khalfa and the guitarist Medlhi Dalil.
They follow the Saturday August 11 2018 with a concert by the Syrians Broukar, traditional Arabic music with this group of six artists that includes two dervish dancers.
El Sunday August 12 2018 with a performance by the Poles Kroke, a group founded by three friends of the Krakow Music Academy whose music is inspired by a wide range of ethnic music and oriental sounds combined with jazz.
The Valencian singer Mara Aranda, awarded Best European Album in 2017 for her album “Sefarad”, will offer the concert “Diáspora” on 26 Sunday of August of 2018.
The cycle ends the Sunday 2 2018 September with a final concert of traditional Irish music in charge of Dervish, a group that has obtained unbeatable criticism from the specialized press.

Like other summers, all concerts are held in the external headquarters of the UIB in Ibiza, in the building of the former Military Command, on Calvario 1 street, in Ibiza city. There will be a free bus service from the deterrent parking of the Ibiza Fairground, with a stop in front of the Island Council and the Reina Sofía Park, from the 20 up to 22 hours.
