Due to the Joana Vasconcelos exhibition “Valkyrie Crown”platforms, Contemporary Art Museum (MACE) organizes the recitative concert “Arianna's Lament"Of Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643), with the soprano Isabel Albaladejo y Paul Zapico, theorbo.
Born in Ibiza, Isabel Albaladejo She has a degree in Lyric Singing from the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Liceo de Barcelona with an Extraordinary Prize for Singing (2012) and in Singing from the Professional Conservatory of Music of Elx with Honorable Mention, as well as a Diploma in Musical Education. She has also studied piano, musical pedagogy, early musical stimulation, choral conducting, musicology and early music. She created Antic Balàfia Ensemble in 2016, a group specialized in the interpretation of early music and has had a musical and operatic career with great critical and public success and numerous awards.
Paul Zapico He is a renowned performer of early music, a specialist in theorbo, archlute and baroque guitar and co-founding member of the prestigious baroque group Forma Antiqva, one of the most valued on the current scene. He has recorded more than thirty albums and performs as a soloist and collaborator with the most important European groups and orchestras. He currently combines his career as a performer with teaching, being a professor at the Higher Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands and at the Higher Center of Musical Arts of Madrid.
