Dreams of freedom: three unforgettable days of quality alternative music

The Festival of Dreams of Freedom culminates successfully an 4 edition in which he offered three unforgettable days full of great concerts in Ibiza

El Dreams of Freedom Festival, the crazy musical adventure promoted by Adrian Rodriguez, has consolidated in its fourth edition with almost 7.000 spectators who have come to enjoy three days of memorable concerts and unforgettable moments in Ibiza city.

From that first edition of a day at the Cine Regio, the festival has reinforced its cultural commitment by offering high quality programming with artists from rock, folk, blues, reggae, cumbia, funk or hip hop and culminating the appointment with a celebrated performance of the famous Wailers that was a special tribute to the 40 anniversary of that legendary concert that Bob Marley gave in the bullring of Vila.

The 2018 edition of Dreams of Freedom started the 17 May 2018 Thursday in a scenario as special as the Bastion of Saint Lucia in Dalt Vila, where the attendees enjoyed the border rock of Santero and the Boys, which opened the festival at sunset, from an artist as beloved on the island as Juanito Makandé, who closed the evening with a very high audience with their lively "garrapateros" rhythms, and the American Shawn James, who with his impressive booming voice and accompanied by the peculiar Hawaiian violinist Sage Cornelius He signed the most special concert of the night, pure musical magic with the moon and the silhouette of Dalt Vila in the background. One of the great moments of this first evening was also the performance of the young Ibizan Omar Alcaide Accompanying Juanito Makandé and his band with his guitar and much skill.

The day of Friday 18 May 2018, which was celebrated in commercial dock of the Port of Ibiza, a really magnificent setting, spacious and with beautiful views of Dalt Vila again as a backdrop, was really intense, starting with the Bengal and gaining strength with the Argentines He killed a motorized policeman. One of the stars of the festival, Buika, was the next to go on stage with his dark glasses and shelling his powerful voice and a lot of mestizo rhythm until the sun goes down. The following was one of the most anticipated of the night, El Kanka, who had already left an unbeatable taste in his step last year for the festival. Dealing with witty lyrics, very danceable melodies and a good insurmountable roll, he again reaped the public's clamor. Splitting rockanrollera pose and reviewing practically all the hymns of his long discography, Loquillo he put in his pocket an audience that enthusiastically chanted all his songs. After a discreet performance by the Madrid group of funk and electronics Paradise Phantoms, Friday ended with a public dancing without stopping the great concert of Navarre Iseo & Dodosound.

The day of 19 May 2018 Saturday had as a snack the morning and free session in Vara de Rey starring local groups Quin Delibat !, Morning Drivers, Ryser, Dr. Trapero and Billy Flamingos. In the afternoon, at the dock, the thing started early and very quietly from the hand of Sweet Neighborhood y Carmen Boza. The thing was quite animated when it was the turn of Fantastic Bold, also present in last year's edition and one of the artists who most excited and danced. After the peculiar Vurro, a guy who plays keyboards and drums with a cow skull as a mask, it was the turn of one of the most anticipated groups of the festival, Orishas. Catchy Cuban rhythms and bailongos mixed with hip hop that put to give boats to all the festival. After giving everything, the audience had a quiet break with the distorted rock of Guadalupe Plata, to reach the great and emotional end of the hand of The Original Wailers, who offered a selection of some of Bob Marley's best-known songs and all those present chanting hymns such as "No woman no cry" or "Is this love?" in unison.

With this year's edition, this great commitment to a different and high-quality musical and cultural offer, this jump without a net in which Adrián Rodríguez and some crazy dreamers like him embarked four years ago, has been consolidated. Long live Freedom Dreams!
