Last night, coinciding with the celebration of the famous Night market of Monday in the Dalias, the artisans, musicians and employees paid an emotional tribute to, as many called it, 'Mr. Juan'. Around one beautiful altar filled with flowers and presided over by a painting by Juan Marí Juan, some of the attendees dedicated a few words. His daughter, Lucía MaríHe did not want to miss the act and took the opportunity to thank the samples of affection received these days. "Let the music continue, please, let life continue," he asked Lucia after talking about the figure of his father.
Las Dalias opened first in 1954. as a meeting point and a dance hall. Little by little, thanks to the tenacity and the desire to innovate of this farmer and carpenter, it became a reference point for locals and foreigners.
During the first years, Las Dalias was the space par excellence for celebrate all kinds of resident events. Baptisms, communions, weddings... The hall witnessed countless important celebrations.

Already for the 60 years, its founder saw in the arrival of tourism an opportunity for renewal and growth. So, he started offer barbecues with show that were full day after day and that led to the creation of a larger restaurant to cater to all those who wanted to have fun there.
But if there is something that marked the future of Las Dalias, it was the landing of the hippie culture in Ibiza, over the years 70. The garden became that iconic market that attracts thousands of tourists today who find the best memory of their vacations in their original positions.
Juan Marí Juan left just the same day he achieved another of those awards that fill the entire team with pride. Las Dalias Ibiza received from the Government of the Balearic Islands the 2016 Tourism Prize for its contribution to the image of tourism in the islands.
