Businessman Abel Matutes, President of Palladium Hotel Group, has received the Diamond Award for Hospitality Excellence, granted by the Spanish Luxury Association – Luxury Spain, at a gala held at the Rosewood Villa Magna hotel in Madrid.
The award is a recognition of the continuous effort of Abel Matutes for internationalize the tourism industry Spanish and her big commitment to the luxury market.
These awards have been delivered within the framework of the second edition of the “Luxury Digital Congress”, a multisectoral congress that is the most important for Spanish-speaking luxury professionals and in which, under the heading "Next Generation", have been addressed latest trends in terms of the digital revolution and transformation, brand prestige, sustainability and new luxury, passing through the new virtual gastronomic experiences, or wellness tourism.
The awards ceremony was attended by Almudena Maillo, Delegate Councilor for Tourism of the Madrid City Council, Begoña Villacís, deputy mayor of the Madrid City Council, and various guests from the business and social spheres such as Sandro Silva, Luis Figo, Teresa Sapey, the chef Ramón Freixa, Carlos Lamela, José Ribas, Héctor Coronel or Pascua Ortega, and top managers of major brands.
The prizes have been awarded by the princess Beatrice d'Orleans, president-founder of the Spanish Luxury Association – Luxury Spain, who noted: “This is an award that our entity grants as a distinction to companies, institutions and public personalities who are benchmarks for their talent, quality and prestige".
