El City of San José has launched a line of aid for the self-employed and micro-enterprises up to a maximum of 10 workers affected by the complex situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants, a total of 500.000 euros, are 50% co-financed with the Consell de Ibiza.
The Councilor for Commerce and Industry Pilar Ribas has declared: "From the City Council we want to be next to the josepí business network, because it is the way to support the working people of the municipality."
Aid is divided into two different lines.
On the one hand, there are the planned aids for companies that have activity throughout the year, to which a total of 300.000 euros is allocated. To access the aid they must have registered activity for at least nine months throughout 2019.
On the other hand, an amount of 200.000 euros is reserved for micro-companies and self-employed who work only during the season. In this case, businesses must accredit a minimum period of activity of four months and up to a maximum of nine months during 2019.
In both, companies that have had to completely stop their activity opt for higher aid.
These aids are compatible with those granted by the Govern Balear to the SMEs of the islands.
El application period is now open and can be done electronically through the electronic headquarters of the City Council or face-to-face asking for an appointment on the phone +34 661 457 936.
