Sarah Main, one of the most beloved DJs on the Ibizan scene, has spent a few years focusing on another artistic and creative facet, painting, and is now showing a collection of her colorful works at the beautiful hotel Ibiza amphora of Es Cana.
Based in Ibiza for more than two decades, the Australian artist Sarah Main I studied in fact Fine Arts in Sydney when he discovered house and the attractions of the night, he fell in love with the music, He dropped out of school and became a DJ., which brought her to the island.
Shortly after arriving he became Resident DJ of the iconic discotheque Pacha Ibiza and although he never stopped painting, DJing was his main occupation, receiving the Dj Award in 2006 for Best Dj in Ibiza. However, a few years ago the tables turned when he decided to return to painting, capturing in his paintings all that energy, beauty and color of the Ibizan night that he knows so well.
Main herself has defined her pictorial style as a sort of figurative abstract, with a marked influence of Pablo Picasso. In the pictures of him, he tries capture moments and the underlying feeling every moment and that magic and spirituality typical of the island with works full of color that they transmit good energies.
