The epidemiological situation in Ibiza town evolves in a worrying way, and after the partial closure of the Eixample neighborhood a few days ago, the authorities have decided to apply new restrictions to try to stop the spread of the virus, from Friday, October 2, 2020.
The Balearic Minister of Health, Patricia Gomez has declared: "Measures applied so far in Vila they have been efficient, but not enough ". Instead, in San Antonio yes they seem to have worked and it has been possible to reduce the scale of infections.
The incidence rate of coronavirus infections per 100.000 inhabitants was 620,94 cases in the last 14 days and 295,98 cases per 100.000 inhabitants in the last week.
Thus, the entire municipality of Ibiza will have to continue new restrictive measures from Friday, October 2, 2020 at 22 p.m. and for 15 days. Instead, restrictive measures have been lifted in San Antonio due to the good evolution of the pandemic in the area.
What changes do these new measures mean?
-The commercial hours are limited (bars and restaurants included) that must close at 22 hours.
-The meetings social are limited to a maximum of 5 people. When these are not in a bar or restaurant you can't eat or drink.
