For years, it has also promoted actions to make responsible use of resources and reduce their environmental impact. The 100% of the energy consumed in all its hotels in Spain comes from renewable energy.
The Spanish group, present in six countries, has installed this 2022 season photovoltaic panels at Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza, Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa and Grand Palladium White Island Resort & Spa. The company also has solar panels at its resorts in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Jamaica, the latter having the largest panel installation in the country.
In line with this respect for the environment, the company wants to develop its business model under a model of circular economy, supported by the recovery, recycling and reuse of waste, so it carries out an exhaustive control of waste in all its hotels.
Another of its objectives is reduce the use of single-use plastics, replacing them with alternatives with less environmental impact, such as new formats and sustainable packaging in amenities, the replacement of single-dose dispensers or the use of aluminum bottles.
