After years in the shadows, the roller dance has returned stronger than ever. Spain is one of the countries in which it is harvesting the most success, perhaps because of the good climate we enjoy, which allows it to be practiced outdoors. In fact, the city of Badalona has been hosting the international Roller Dance festival for more than six years. ''Skate Love Barcelona'.
There are many skaters who have dusted off their old quads to join the groups and communities that organize meetings to practice this spectacular and fun form of skating. Meetings that are carried out in the main cities to dance in the middle of the street or return to the famous discos with skates as in the '80s.
Now it is the turn of Ibiza, which finally has a group for skaters with quads or classics. IBIZA SKATES, an organization that has been teaching skaters of all ages for years, launches from this 3 November 2021 introductory classes to figure skating for children from 6 to 14 years old and introductory classes Roller Dance for adults.
The sessions will be every Wednesday at CEIP Sant Antoni (Carrer Corb Marí, San Antonio. Entrance through the slopes, roundabout on Benimussa road). Prices vary depending on the classes. One class is 15 euros, while a voucher of 5 costs 50 euros (valid for 3 months).
