La Medieval Ibiza Fair It is one of the most anticipated events at the beginning of the season on the island. A great event organized by the Ibiza Town Hall in the historic center of the city, and which fills the beautiful cobbled streets of Dalt Vila and surroundings, an area declared a World Heritage Site, of animation, color and fantastic cultural proposals.
And it is precisely that the Ibiza Medieval Fair commemorates the declaration of Ibiza as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1999 and last year, in its first complete edition since the pandemic, it broke participation records with a large influx.
The event celebrates its number edition this year XXIV of the Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 of May of 2023.
One of the most important novelties of this year is that there will also be stalls from the famous medieval market that constitutes the heart of the appointment in the Paseo de s'Alamera and in the Pharmacy street. In total, there will be this year 170 posts, more than any other year, of which 60 will be by artisans from Ibiza. Nor will they be missing, in addition to the artisan pieces, a lot of stops with delicious gastronomic products and taverns.
During the four days that the event lasts and that turn the historic center of Ibiza into a real party for residents and tourists, all the Dalt Vila bastions will be openAs well as museums, so it is a unique opportunity to get to know the beautiful Dalt Vila in depth.
In addition, as always, Ibiza Medieval will have a very complete cultural program with proposals and shows for all tastes and ages, including street and traveling shows, concerts of medieval, Celtic, pagan or Arabic music, exhibitions, theater, storytelling, circus, activities for children and adults...
Other notable novelties are the large-format traveling show 'Suru, the warrior elephant and his army', of the groups Arifa and the Forge of Vulcano, as well as the recreation, in Calle Mayor, of a passage dedicated to medieval witches with dramatization and thematic stops.
The entire fair will be divided into 10 different zones (below we have left you the map) with traditional workshops, artisans and food, attractions and children's areas, historical recreations and even medieval village in the Reina Sofía Park, where a colorful fire and pyrotechnics show.
And to facilitate your access, the Ibiza Town Hall makes available to you three free bus lines that will take you it's even Soto since the park and ride from the city. there will be buses every day from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m. and from 17 p.m. to 22:30 p.m.
