Sant Joan offers in the north of the island of Ibiza natural landscapes of great beauty, almost intact, tradition and absolute relaxation

Located north of the island, Sant Joan It is the least populated of the Ibizan municipalities and in it you can enjoy nature with more intensity and a rural way of life based on agriculture, preserving traditions, where you can still see how the payases (many of them dressed in typical costumes) take care and till their fields, collect the fruits, sow as if they had not spent time, contrasting with the glamor and modernity that we find in other parts of the island.

Its natural environment is characterized by mountains covered with pine trees and coasts of imposing cliffs, interrupted by some of the most charming coves on the island. In this municipality we find Benirràs, Cala Xarraca, Es calo d'en Serra, Cala de Sant Vicent or the familiar beaches of Portinatx and port of San Miguel.

Towards the interior we find It's Amunts, an area of great ecological value, the tower of Balanzat or the cave site of It's Culleram, famous for being where the most important archaeological piece of the island was found: the goddess Tanit.

Four parishes make up this municipality: Sant Joan, Sant Miquel, Sant Vicent and Sant Llorenç. Inhabited by people from all over the world who found their place in the rural environment that breathes in each and every one of these small villages.

El Town of San Juan both in winter and summer, every Saturday is dyed in color with the market stalls. Possibly it is the smallest, but it is very very curious and very authentic. Crafts, details brought from Peru, Colombia and different trips, clothes, food ... Do not miss a visit to the San Juan market.
