As for the type of bottom, predominantly rocky, it has abundant meadows of Posidonia, coralline and sponges.

The spectacular oceanic seagrass meadows that stretch along the coast also contribute to this fact. Thanks to them, the water is one of the clearest in the entire Mediterranean.
